As Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Lang is responsible for the general administration of all activities supporting the undergraduate programs and support services, including the areas of recruiting, admissions, financial aid, scholarships, registration, scheduling, classroom usage, students records maintenance, degree audit, computer programs, and institutional reporting. She provides guidance and oversight for university outreach including Sea Camp, Sea Campus Kids, Elderhostel, and community programs.
Dr. Lang holds a B.S. degree in Maritime Administration from TAMUG (1988), a M.A. in Public Management from the University of Houston – Clear Lake (1992) and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Cultural Studies, Higher Education Administration, from the University of Houston (2000).
She holds the Distinguished Staff Service Award from TAMUG (1995), the Community Service Award from TAMUG (1997) and the Ricker Outstanding Staff Award (1999).
She and her husband, David, live in Galveston with their children, Danielle and Douglas.
