The professors at Texas A&M University at Galveston have a huge amount of experience when it comes to research, and they love passing on their knowledge to students. LIST students will have the opportunity to become part of the Undergraduate Research Scholars program, working under the guidance of an advisory professor on their own high-level research project.

Student Research Symposium

Over the last several years, the representation of LIST students at the Student Research Symposium has grown considerably. LIST students began winning awards at the symposium in 2016, and continued to do so in 2017. The department will continue to grow the research component in order to give dedicated and enthusiastic students the opportunity to learn the ropes of scholarly research, preparing them for future in academia and beyond.
