Welcome Home!

Our residence halls are a dynamic and diverse community that provide a healthy living and learning community and encourage both scholastic and personal development.

About Us

Howdy!

The Texas A&M University at Galveston residential community consists of more than 1200 residents from throughout Texas, the United States, and even overseas.

CL&L manages the day-to-day operations of the residence halls and serves to facilitate services for campus residents, such as maintenance work orders, extermination, and check-in/check-out services.

Our Mission:

Campus Living & Learning provides an environment where students may safely live and learn; is academically centered and focused on the holistic development of students built on a foundation of inclusivity.

Anchoring Principles:

  • We seek to be good stewards of University and State resources.
  • Along with our students, we are shared stakeholders in their success in their time as students and beyond.
  • We are committed to helping students discover their role as productive and responsible members of the Aggie Community in the world at large.
  • We have a responsibility to actively address behaviors that are not conducive to scholarship or that may serve as a hindrance to the scholarship of others.
  • We hold communication –in all of its forms- to be a cornerstone of student and professional development.

Mid-Semester Move-Out

RESIDENCE HALL-MOVE OUT PROCESS

**With the Stay at Home Order in Galveston County, you are still allowed to return to campus to completely move out your items per the check-out process outlined below.**

At this time, the residence halls are open and no one is being required to leave.  For those wishing to check-out, please follow the following guidelines.

  1. Sign up for a check-out window using the link to your specific building below.  This is so that we can control foot traffic within our halls and comply with social distancing protocol.
  2. At the scheduled window, report to the front desk of your residence hall in order to have your key card temporarily activated.
  3. Remove all belongings, clean the room and to the best of your ability return the room to its original condition.
  4. As you leave, fill out an express check-out form at the front desk or online here.

If you have already left, do not intend to return, and would like to check out of your space remotely, you can also fill out an express check-out form here in addition to contacting your Housing Coordinator.  Additional information and FAQs are below.

Check-out periods are limited to normal business hours. No move-outs will be accommodated outside of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. due to point-of-contact safety protocols in place. The number of time-slots available during the periods listed below are limited. Please plan accordingly.

Morning Check-Out: 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

Afternoon Check-Out: 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

Participants for these time slots will be limited and the process conducted according to recently issued guidelines concern events, meetings and gatherings.

Questions not answered by the FAQs can be sent to infoline@tamug.edu.

Why can’t I move out now?

Limited point-of-contact protocols are in place in accordance with recently issued guidelines. Students with on-campus residence hall accommodations who are not currently present will have key access revoked and need to visit the front desk to have keys reprogrammed.

I said in the survey I was going to stay, but now I am not. Do I need permission to move-out?

We understand your situation may have changed from when you filled out the survey.  If you need to move out now, you do not need to tell us or get permission or change your response.  Just sign up for a move-out slot.

There is not a slot available for when I want to move out.

We understand move-out slots may fill up. These time periods will remain open throughout the semester. Sign up for the first available time that makes sense for you.

I need help moving out, can I bring my family?

Yes. However, please do so in accordance with recently issued guidelines concerning events, meetings and gatherings. Please try not to bring more people to help you move than you absolutely need.

I live out of state.  Can my friend move my items out for me?

If you cannot be present to move-out and require someone else to move your personal belongings please contact Reslife@tamug.edu. There will be additional steps to take to ensure these individuals are there on your behalf.

Current residents should click one of the links below to sign-up for your move-out window.
