Howdy!
Welcome Class of 2028!
New Student and Family Programs at Texas A&M University at Galveston are designed to help provide a seamless transition for all incoming students and their families as they begin their time in college. Our professionals and student staff are in charge of New Student Conference, Howdy Week, S.A.L.T Camp, Family Weekend, and more. Participating in New Student Conference, Howdy Week, and S.A.L.T. Camp is an effective way for a first time college student to kickstart a successful career at Texas A&M University at Galveston.
Furthermore, our University offers unique extended orientation programming for our Transfer and Nontraditional student populations through "TIKI Camp," a new program founded in 2021.
Summer programming for students entering Texas A&M University at Galveston will consist of the following:
- June 2024
- August 2024
- New Student Conference (If you did not attend one in June)
- Howdy Week
- Cadet Orientation Week (Only for students entering into the Texas A&M Maritime Academy)
- SALT Camp (Optional program but highly encouraged)
- TIKI Camp (Only for non-traditionally aged students or transfer students)
