Student Employment

Thank you for your interest in student employment opportunities at Texas A&M Galveston! Recently, President Young requested that student employment be enhanced to better prepare our students for real life working environments as they move on after graduation. In order to fulfill this request, all TAMUG student employment will be handled online through the Workday system, except for TAMU positions that are located on the TAMUG campus (see bottom of page). Human Resources is working closely with the hiring departments to get positions posted in Workday. Please be patient while we make this transition, and if you do not see the job you desire, check back again later.

You will receive an email when your background check has been completed with a list of documents that you can bring in for your I-9. Please contact Marion Rhodes by email at for more information regarding new student employee orientation. If you are an international student on a visa status, please contact Tina Pennington at When you arrive for orientation you MUST bring the required documentation:

  • I-9 Documentation – This is NOT the I-9 form itself; a complete list of acceptable documents is listed below
  • Social Security Card – if you present a Driver’s License it needs to be the original – a copy is ok if you present a passport
  • Valid US Driver’s License or Passport
  • Banking information (Routing and Account number) for direct deposit setup
