The “Anchoring Aggie Values” program is a short-term recognition program designed to recognize Texas A&M Galveston employees caught in the act of “doing something great” – whether it’s staying late to help a student, fixing a critical error, or lifting team spirits!

Who Can Nominate?

Any TAMU Galveston Staff, Faculty, and Student Workers

Who Can Receive Awards?

TAMUG Faculty/Staff, or TAMU employees based on the Galveston Campus (Director and below)

How do I nominate?

Complete the on-line Nomination Form!  Nominations must include a description of a specific instance where the employee went above-and-beyond in exhibiting one of our Aggie Core Values.  Nominations without specific descriptions unfortunately cannot be accepted. 

Awards

First-time recipients will receive an “Anchoring Aggie Values” challenge coin to be presented by their supervisor.

For subsequent nominations, the recognized employee will receive an “Anchoring Aggie Values” pin presented by their supervisor.

The Executive Team will select a Monthly Winner from all nominations for the “Anchoring Aggie Values” trophy to be presented during a Leadership Meeting.

All approved nominees will be eligible for a monthly drawing to receive two cafeteria vouchers (subject to a monthly campus maximum)

Other Recognition Programs

The “Anchoring Aggie Values” program supplements and does not replace our existing Employee of the Quarter (EOQ) and Employee of the Year (EOY) programs.  EOQ/EOY Nominations can be completed at https://www.tamug.edu/staffcouncil/pdf/EOQ-Nomination-Form.pdf.   Below illustrates how the programs are designed to complement each other.
