Full-time budgeted employees at all A&M System universities, agencies, and Texas A&M University System offices are qualified for reimbursement of tuition and mandatory fees. The initiative began in the Spring 2022 semester for eligible employees who are pursuing approved doctoral programs at A&M System universities. By encouraging the professional and personal development of A&M System employees, this doctoral program is designed to invest in and assist employees further their knowledge, skills, and job effectiveness.

Educational Release Time Program
Educational Release Time Program

Texas A&M University at Galveston recognizes the value and contribution of its employees by providing an Educational Release Time Program for employees registering as students. This opportunity allows full-time, budgeted TAMUG employees to further their growth and advancement, enhance their involvement in the life of the university, and to further their education to become a more productive and knowledgeable workforce.

High School Equivalency (HSE)
High School Equivalency (HSE)

High school equivalency classes develop the reading, writing and math skills needed to pass a Texas high school equivalency exam. These classes are also a great place to improve skills to move into a workforce training program at College of the Mainland. Classes begin five times a year and run for 8 weeks at a time. They are held Monday - Thursday in the morning from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or in the evening from 6–9 p.m. There is no charge for classes and there are no textbooks or other purchases required for this course.
