Research & Diving
Scientific diving is critical to many research activities around the world, and also to many faculty members at Texas A&M University on both the Galveston and College Station campuses. Our faculty have a long-term reputation for acquiring research grants from prestigious national and international organizations (e.g., National Science Foundation, National Geographic, NOAA) to fund scientific research that includes scientific diving. Of course, undergraduates and graduate students benefit from the local and international learning opportunities that these scientific projects offer. Successful certification as an AAUS Scientific Diver at the undergraduate level will be excellent preparation for a future of using scientific diving methods as a participant, and future leader, of scientific research.
