Welcome to Texas A&M University at Galveston, a branch campus of Texas A&M University, offering marine and maritime studies degrees in Engineering, Liberal Arts, Biological and Physical Sciences, and Business and Transportation. With total campus enrollment of almost 2,100 students, of which nearly 200 are graduate students, Texas A&M University at Galveston‘s 130-acre Mitchell Campus is teeming with activity.

Texas A&M University at Galveston was designated a special purpose institution in 1971 in part to fulfill the Sea Grant mission of Texas A&M University, a tier one research institution. Texas A&M University at Galveston is committed to its mission of education, research and public service in the general field of marine resources. With its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico and Galveston Bay, Texas A&M University at Galveston offers students and faculty unique academic and research opportunities unavailable elsewhere.

Texas A&M University at Galveston offers graduate programs through three departments at Texas A&M University at Galveston, a Masters of Marine Resources Management program through the Department of Marine Sciences, a Master of Science or PhD through the Interdisciplinary Degree Program in Marine Biology in the Department of Marine Biology, and a Masters of Maritime Administration and Logistics through the Department of Maritime Administration. Students are admitted to these programs through the Admissions Office at Texas A&M University at Galveston.

Texas A&M University in College Station offers graduate work on the Galveston campus through the following departments: Biology, Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences, Oceanography, Ecosystem Science and Management, Civil Engineering and Ocean Engineering. For the College Station degrees, students must complete one or two semesters in College Station, during which time they must take nine hours per semester of formal course work. All other course work and research activities may be conducted in Galveston.
