Get To Know Andrew L. Moore

What in your life drew you to your current field of study?

Ever since I was little, I have had a fascination with the ocean and ships (especially the Titanic). That passion shifted in high school as I focused on math and engineering. But, on vacation I drove near Texas A&M University at Galveston and discovered that I could make a career at of both.

What do you hope your students gain from studying or working with you?

I strive to help students realize that they all have critical thinking skills that can be applied across all subject, and that every subject gained is another too in that toolbox.

What are you passionate about in your personal life?

Helping shift the personal paradigm for the current throw away life-style we are currently living.
