Dr. Uche Nwabueze received his Ph.D from Sheffield Hallam University in the United Kingdom in 1995. For 21years, Dr. Nwabueze has dedicated himself to the advancement of the theory and practice of management through research, consulting work, and teaching across four continents (North America, Europe, Asia and Africa). His students describe their classroom experience with Dr. Uche as he is fondly called; as a scholarly adventure in critical thinking, problem-solving and reflective analysis. Dr. Nwabueze has over 50 academic publications, most notably in the International Journal of Business Performance Management, Total Quality and Business Excellence Journal, Journal of Product and Brand Management, Journal of Public Sector Management, and the TQM Journal.

He served for several years as consultant to numerous hospital systems in the United Kingdom in the implementation of Total Quality Management, Process Improvement and SixSigma.  As a master SixSigma blackbelt, Dr. Nwabueze loves helping healthcare and manufacturing organizations come to terms with process discipline focusing on the eradication of systemic waste. He has served as faculty at several Universities: the College of Business, Houston Baptist University, University of East London, Texas Southern University, and Southern University @New Orleans. At the University of Houston- Victoria, Dr. Nwabueze was the recipient of the Enron Teaching award in 2012.

As a strong and fanatical advocate of Online education and the use of the flipped classroom pedagogy, Dr. Nwabueze won the Best Graduate faculty teaching award at the University of Phoenix, Houston Campus in 2004, and in 2008, he was the recipient of the ‘’Excellent Faculty teaching award at Ashford University. As instructional designer and curriculum developer, Dr. Nwabueze has helped numerous Online institutions in the United Kingdom, here at Home in the USA, in China and Dubai prepare students for professional practice.

Dr. Nwabueze’s teaching philosophy focuses on the need for students “to be present at their own education by developing students’ higher order thinking skills through flipped classrooms, deep engagement, and he serving in the role of guide and mentor, not as “the sage on the stage.” He is driven by a fundamental passion for creating educational processes that transform students’ lives and indelibly shape their futures; helping students identify their strengths and talents, mentoring them, challenging them, and pushing them to go to the next level.

Dr. Nwabueze serves on the editorial board of the African Business Journal and the Journal of Applied Quality Management. He is a member of the British Institute of Management, and American society for Quality. His research interest is focused on healthcare quality management and process redesign.
