Organizational Review

An organizational review initiated last year as part of President Banks’ Path Forward, an ambitious and strategic plan that provides guidance for carrying out Texas A&M’s mission and vision, has helped determine opportunities to connect the College Station and Galveston campuses, capitalize on unique education experiences, support training and industry needs, and align operational functions for effectiveness. The report was released earlier this year, and President Banks’ response to the report is now available.

Next Steps: Galveston Campus Organizational Review

Academic Programs Task Force

The New Department and Collaborations with Oceanography task force will address the fundamental charges of 1) charting the positive and productive merger of the TAMUG Departments of Marine Biology and Marine and Coastal Environmental Science to produce a premier destination for students, staff and faculty, and 2) identifying the processes for integrating elements of the TAMU Department of Oceanography teaching and research into the Galveston Campus to elevate the impact of the entire university.

The team is a representative group and will engage with stakeholders transparently for two-way communications and input throughout the process. The deadline for Task Force recommendations has been extended to allow additional time for teams to gather feedback.
