Course Support

All sessions for Course Support, GIS Services, Guided Group Study, The Studio, & Writing Support will be held online via TAMU Zoom by appointment only. Appointments must  be made through Navigate in order to attend a virtual session. Hours for Academic Support are unchanged at this time.

Students should attempt their assignment or homework problems in advance and create a list of specific questions to ask the Consultant during the session in order to get the most out of their time.

TEMPORARY CHANGES TO GRADING, Q-DROP, AND WITHDRAWAL PROCESS/DEADLINES

GRADING

Students have the opportunity to choose Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory (S/U) grading for any course in which they are enrolled in the spring semester 2020. Students have until 5pm on Tuesday, April 28th to make changes to their grading options. This change can be made via your Howdy Portal > My Record tab > My Schedule - Galveston box > Change Grade Type for Spring 2020 link. This may not be applicable to students in first professional degree programs who should contact their program for grading information.

Any student considering the change from graded to S/U grading may need to consult with an academic advisor and/or financial aid advisor to understand the implications of the change on one’s future plans including progress toward a degree or financial aid.

Any U or F received this semester will be removed from GPA computations
