Employee of the Quarter- Second Quarter 2014

Brian Lemire, Senior Office Assistant in the General Academics Department has won the 2nd Employee of the Quarter for fiscal year 2014.

Brian was nominated by his co-worker, Lupe Aaron:

“Brian is one of those employees that will tackle any job you ask him to do.  He goes way beyond his duties to make sure that the faculty and students are taken care of.  Many times in the academic departments, tempers flare, but somehow Brian has a calming effect, whether it’s dealing with a faculty member, student or their parents.  I found out just valuable Brian is, when, because of family emergency, I had to be working away from campus most of last year.  He took on more duties than his normal ones and he never complained.  He kept the office running smoothly in my absence.  I truly don’t know what I would’ve done without Brian.

He is always eager to learn new things, and has even taken on the complex and often confusing online program Concur, so that he can help the faculty with their travel.  I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t get along with Brian.  He is the friendly face of GACD.”
