Topping Off Held for First Phase of Academic Complex at Texas A&M Galveston    

(Galveston - June 23, 2016) A topping off ceremony was held for the first phase of the new Academic Complex at Texas A&M University at Galveston. The 91,000 square foot building is due to be completed in the summer of 2017. The academic complex will be a three phase project and will be positioned to provide the fourth side of the campus quadrangle. The complex, being constructed by Linbeck, will provide enhancements to the campus that are envisioned to include new classrooms, laboratories, a large lecture hall and a new library.

Rear Admiral Robert Smith, retired COO of Texas A&M Galveston, Bob Wight, chief estimator, Linbeck, DeWayne Hahn, Vice President, Linbeck and Dr. Doug Palmer, Interim COO of Texas A&M Galveston look on as a palm tree tops off the construction of the first of three buildings as part of the new Academic Complex at Texas A&M University at Galveston.
