What in your life drew you to your current field of study?

Growing up on the Texas Gulf Coast, I was exposed to the mysteries and wonders of the ocean. My passion for people and exploration of a world unknown aligned me with the maritime industry.

What do you hope your students gain from studying or working with you?

My hope is to assist students develop the skills required to become outstanding leaders in their field. With this, I hope to engrain the importance of having the ability to think for themselves, while finding solutions to issues at hand.

What are you passionate about in your personal life?

I am passionate about the things most important to me which include Faith, Family, Culture, and Exploration.

I find wellbeing training in the arts of Mauy Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
