What in your life drew you to your current field of study?

I have has a life-long interest for travel and exploration, and grew up loving to look at maps and atlases of all the places I had traveled. I took up Geography as an undergraduate student which gradually cascaded into Geographic Information Science (GIS) & Remote Sensing. It has turned out to be the best choice I have ever made.

What do you hope your students gain from studying or working with you?

As an instructor of GIS, I want my students to investigate what-if scenarios, ask questions, and investigate possible outcomes. My approach towards teaching GIS is interdisciplinary and I hope that my students learn to apply this knowledge in solving real-world problems.

What are you passionate about in your personal life?

Travel and explore, family and food.
