Information for Presenters

Attendees may give both a poster and an oral presentation. Students closest to graduation will be given priority for 15 minute presentations.

Oral presentations

  • Faculty new to the MARB IDP (reserved for those faculty who have not previously presented at a MARB IDP retreat) have been allotted 15-minute presentation slots (12 minutes + 3 for questions)
  • A limited number of 15-minute oral presentation slots will be allotted to senior graduate students (within a year of completion).
  • All other oral presentations will be “lightning talks” with 5 minutes for the presentation of a single hypothesis, idea, or result + 2 minutes for questions
  • Please load your presentation onto the podium PC prior to the start of your session.
  • A microphone, laser pointer, and remote will be provided.

Poster presentations

  • The recommended poster size is 36” high by 48” wide, preferably in landscape orientation.

Please park in the commuter lots marked in yellow on the map. We recommend the large parking lot along Texas Clipper Road. Participants from TAMU can park for free. TAMU-CC participants: please purchase a $5 parking pass before your arrival, print it and display it on your dashboard.
