New Graduate Student Arrival Checklist    


What to Bring to Orientation:

  • For those needing to park on campus: Please display your hangtag parking permit properly during Orientation.  You can purchase an annual student parking permit during the month of August by visiting To determine where to park on campus, please see “Parking and Check-In” section below.
  • Comfortable, casual shoes and clothing – please dress in layers.
  • Pen and paper
  • Make sure you know your UIN and Howdy log-in (i.e. Net-ID)

Parking and Check-In:

Orientation Check-In occurs from 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM at the Mary Moody Northern Building (Building 3004) on the Mitchell Campus.  For directions to get to the Mitchell Campus, please visit

With your student parking permit proceed to the first entrance and park in the large lot (M201 or M200) closest to Building 3004.
