New Student Conference

Due to the on-going concerns regarding COVID-19, Texas A&M University Galveston has decided to cancel in-person New Student Conferences (NSC) for summer 2020 and move them to a fully virtual experience. Students will maintain the NSC date for which they are registered and you will receive access to the virtual content before the week of your NSC.

We know you have many questions about this new format and we will work to answer them as we move forward. You will receive direct updates through your personal and Texas A&M Gmail accounts and we will post up-to-date information on our website. Your patience is appreciated as we work through multiple layers of implementing a virtual experience for all of our incoming students and their family members/guests. We look forward to creating a positive and supportive experience for you in your transition to Texas A&M University Galveston.

At this time, email (crousea@tamug.edu) is the best method of communication with our office.

Which conference should you attend?

All students admitted as freshmen must attend a Freshman New Student Conference. If you have been admitted to the Galveston Gateway Program for Summer 2020, you must attend the one day conference on June 29th.

Students admitted as a Transfer student toTexas A&M University at Galveston have the option of attending a one-day Transfer NSC or the two-day Freshman NSC. If you are a traditional college student who has never attended a university, you may wish to choose the more in-depth Freshman NSC.  In order to register for the freshman conference, as a Transfer admit, you will need to contact the Enrollment Services office.

Are you an international student?

Make sure you complete the additional requirements prior to attending your conference. Contact Danny Roe at roed@tamug.edu prior to your NSC to complete the required online orientation and check-in.
