Concise writing

Professional and executive readers are presented with large amounts of written information.  Teachers use number of words or pages as an indicator of the complexity they expect rather than to request output of language.  In academic writing, the objective is to include the greatest amount of information in the fewest words. Empty words and complex sentence structures bury the information in your submissions.

 

Reduce Redundancy

Condense Long-winded Expressions

Use Jargon Appropriately

Avoid Clichés and Colloquialisms

Eliminate Ambiguity
