Writing Lab Staff

Vic Penuel - Faculty Director

"If you can talk, you can write"

Academic writing is about communication of thoughts and information rather than a mysterious gift given to a chosen few.  It is a skill, like shooting a basketball, and with practice anyone can learn to do it effectively.

"Your ideas and your discoveries will be judged not by their merits, but by your ability to communicate them to others."

Eddie Penuel - Faculty Staff

"Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives." ~William James

The outer aspects of our lives include the way others see us, and are only accurate if we express ourselves clearly.

Alena is a Graduating Senior (December 2011), with plans of continuing on to law school.  She is currently the Executive Coordinator of the Writing Lab, and the Head Coach. This December she will be doing research, on marine mammals,  with Dr. Wursig in New Zealand. Most of her favorite activities include anything A&M and Alabama sporting related (she bleeds half maroon and half crimson).
