Davis Schneider

Davis Schneider

Major: MARA

Graduation: 2015, May

Howdy Ags! My name is Davis Schneider, most of you probably know me as neon hat guy. I am a MARA major and have taken many writing intensive classes. I can help with most anything you might bring me, but to make everyone's lives easier please bring the requirements for papers when you come in. Also if you feel like it will be a lot of work, feel free to bring some snacks or coffee for me. If its an easy paper, bring coffee anyway. Anyway come on by if you have any questions, but if you don't have coffee then I might pass you on to someone else.

Joe Herrmann

Joe Herrmann

Major: MARB

Graduation: 2015, May

Joseph Herrmann is a Junior in the Marine Biology program. He is very easy to talk to, and provides constructive feedback. He has always enjoyed writing and loves the small size of A&M here in Galveston. Joseph grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and after graduating, moved to Montana to study psychology at the University of Montana. He took a sabbatical after two years and moved to Texas in January 2008 to accept a job offer from The Jesse Tree, which is a social service agency here in Galveston. The job was only supposed to last a year, but Hurricane Ike came and interrupted everyone’s plans, including his.

Joseph saw a need for good psychiatrists after struggling to find adequate psychiatric care for several mentally ill clients, and in 2010 decided he would go to medical school. The MARB program at A&M satisfies all the prerequisites for medical school, and so in 2011, Joseph began at Texas A&M at Galveston.

Alyssa Adams

Howdy! My name is Alyssa Joy Adams. I am earning my Master’s in Maritime Administration and Logistics.  I graduated from TAMUG in May of 2014 with a degree in Ocean and Coastal Resources and minors in Maritime Administration and Economics. I worked in the P.E. Facility on campus for several years through my undergraduate career and I am excited to be here in the library during my graduate work.

During my free time I enjoy yoga and Crossfit. I also like to play on the beach when time permits. On a Saturday night I am likely snuggled up with my cats watching Netflix. I am a bubbly and ambitious person and look forward to working with you for your writing needs!! =)

                  Tessa

Howdy! I am a Junior Marine Biology major, with an accompanying minor in English. Born and raised in the Amarillo area, I decided to attend the university that was the farthest away from home as possible. In the future, I hope to become a sophisticated Biology professor and participate in research focusing on marine invertebrates. When I am not focused on my school work, I enjoy watching British television and reading classic literature. On occasion I leave my dorm room to retrieve frozen yogurt, Chick Fil A, or pomegranate vanilla tea. In addition to my academic adventures, I am incredibly passionate about scuba diving and the underwater world in general.

I am excited to begin my work here in the Writing Lab this semester! I am generally a friendly person, so do not hesitate to come by or say hey. Appropriate topics of conversation, besides your paper, include how fabulous Mini Coopers are, any literature not written by Hermann Melville, the fashion exploits of Lady Gaga, BBC’s Sherlock, and Texas A&M football.

       Mattie

Howdy Ags, my name is Matthew Stephens, and I’m a Dallas-born third year MARB major here at TAMUG. I enjoy the finer things in life, like cheeses, laying bed until 5 minutes before class starts, Guitar Hero, and pretending I know how to dance, so chances are good we have something in common. My hobbies include, but aren’t limited to: guitar, longboarding, sarcasm, food, listening to music you haven’t heard and pretending its cool, and sleep. I’m ambitious, and try to punch life’s obstacles in the face, but do my best to chill out about spilt milk. Friendliness is a large part of me, and I’ve seen The Breakfast Club, so don’t worry, I’ll say hi to you in the hallway.

If you want me to help you, come on in, I’m sure I can whip something up. If you want me to help you, tote some chocolate milk along. That’s what I’m all about-bout. I’m ready to work with you, and I’m here to help with whatever I can. Yuh.
