The Jack K. Williams Library is changing to meet your needs. In 2011 the Library is continuing an initiative to give our students a better place to work and study by installing 5 new group study rooms, new carpet and new lighting. Sensing a need for new student space the Library moved quickly to create new quiet study space, including the Chamber of Silence. All of the seating in the Library has been replaced and "Gumby" chairs and bean bags were added as well. For those students wishing to enjoy the outdoors while studying there are comfortable tables and chairs. Ten group study rooms contain state-of-the-art computers and large screen videos and there are over 70 computers for student use. The Library is also connected to the Jellyfish Wi-Fi network. The Library now houses an outpost for the Writing Lab in the evenings and students can get their caffeine fix from our Java the Hut coffee bar. In May of 2011 the Library also dedicated the James M. McCloy Coastal Geography Program with high-end computers and access to coastal and geographic data and information.
