The TAMUG kitchen and dining area was originally built with the intention to serve 500 meals a day; by the end of Spring 2010, dining services was preparing and serving more than 1,500 meals a day. With the construction of the new Seibel Student Services Center, TAMUG has begun renovations on the Northern Student Center. This updated space will provide adequate preparation facilities and a more pleasant dining experience for the campus. The expansion project will also include renovation of the old "Blue Room", a space often utilized for meetings and special events on campus. Additionally, students will enjoy an updated common area for study, events, and leisure.
