2012 STUDENT RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM
April 25 and 26, 2012

Texas A&M University at Galveston (TAMUG) will hold its 2012 Student Research Symposium on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 and Thursday, April 26, 2012 in the Lobby of the Sea Aggie Center.  The Symposium is open to all TAMUG-based students, with separate categories for undergraduate and graduate students, and will provide the opportunity to present research in a poster format.  Participants are encouraged to present results from their current research projects, even if it is preliminary research as these presentations will provide the student researcher the opportunity to discuss their research with other participants and faculty.  In addition, the Symposium will provide a venue for the exposure of student research to the broader TAMUG community.  There will be no registration fee for the symposium.  Posters submitted to the Research and Graduate Studies Office by the listed deadline will be printed free of charge (unless the Research and Graduate Studies Office already printed a free poster during the Fall 2011 semester).

Please see the Important Deadlines link in the column to the left for information about registration and abstract submission.

For multiple students presenting the same poster, please note that recognition will be given to all authors and not just the lead author at the Awards Ceremony.

NEW FOR THIS YEAR: All authors (lead and co-authors) receiving awards will be recognized at the Awards Ceremony.  Also, there will be an opportunity for faculty, students, and staff to nominate a "People's Choice Award" for a graduate and undergraduate poster during the judging event.  There will be no cash awards this year.
