Traditions

For over a century Aggies have been proudly creating and carrying on the traditions of Texas A&M University. Those traditions found their way to the Gulf Coast of Texas with the creation of the Texas Maritime Academy and Texas A&M University at Galveston as the ocean-oriented branch campus of Texas A&M University.

Aggie traditions focus on honor, camaraderie, pride of self and school, and supporting the Aggie Spirit. While TAMUG students honor many of the traditions garnered from the main campus, they also uphold traditions which can only call the TAMUG campus home.
