Spring 2014 Staff Boat Trips

Sponsored by the TAMUG Staff Council

Part of the Sea Aggie experience is to get our students out on the water as much as possible for high-impact learning. However, how many of you have also had the opportunity to get out on the water? What do you know about the local harbor and our industry neighbors? The TAMUG Staff Council believes that increasing your knowledge will enhance any conversations or other interactions you may have with students, families, faculty and other staff and as well as offering you a glimpse of the “Sea Aggie experience”.

With Admiral Smith’s approval and Waterfront’s cooperation, the TAMUG Staff Council would like to get you out on the water!  Please join us for a harbor tour aboard the Flying Fish II with Captain Allan Post.  This event is open to all campus staff and faculty.  The Staff Council will also provide water and sodas.

Available Trip Times:

Friday, May 16th departing at 11:00am

Friday, May 16th departing at 3:30pm

To register for one of the boat trips, please complete the Waiver, Indemnification, and Medical Treatment Authorization Form by accessing this link:

Send your completed waiver to Morgan Mills at millsm@tamug.edu indicating which boat trip time you prefer.  Registration is on a first come, first serve basis, so be sure to get your waiver in early.  Also, do not forget to clear your participation with your direct supervisor and remember you must wear closed toed shoes that day

No sandals, flip flops, or any other open toed shoe style.

Should there be an overwhelming response; we will increase the number of trips that day.  Should inclement weather put a damper on our efforts, May 23rd is our alternate date.  

So, wear your close-toed shoes, grab your sunglasses and sunscreen and join us aboard the vessel on Friday May 16thWe do ask that you try to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time.  Hope to see you there!
