Employee of the Quarter - Second Quarter 2017

TAMUG Staff Council announces the 2nd Employee of the Quarter for fiscal year 2017.  Charles Cesari, 1st Assistant Engineer in the Texas A&M Maritime Academy, has won the Employee of the Quarter award.  Charles was nominated by his supervisor, Chief Engineer Henry Fredrickson.

“Mr. Cesari runs the maintenance program aboard the General Rudder. This course gives the students hands on skills and operation procedures that would be experience aboard a merchant ship. He not only instructs but is a mentor to 100 plus license option engineer students. He spends summers on the General Rudder during the training cruises which requires him being away from his family for extended periods of time”.  – Henry Fredrickson

“The engineering department was recognized by the US Coast Guard during the last audit for having no defects. First Engineer Cesari and has his Chief Engineers license and 30 plus years of experience. He supervises and confirms that students are competent in the STCW standards. His superior efforts resulted in the 100% pass rate of our students in USCG licensing tests. His commitment to learn and recent endorsement received for automation and controls, keeps him current with USCG.” – Dr. Edward Clancy (Department Head of Marine Engineering Technology)
