Employee of the Quarter- First Quarter 2014

Amber Beasley

Amber Beasley, Senior Office Assistant for Admissions and Records has won the Employee of the Quarter Award for the first quarter of fiscal 2014.

Here is the comment made for her nomination by John Merritt:

“Amber has worked for Texas A&M Galveston for over 5 years. She has worn many hats during this time, from Bookstore to Enrollment Services. Prior to her fulltime employment, she worked in Sea Camp, Corps of Cadets, and Financial Management Services as a student worker.

Currently, her job is processing student records and forms, but she is always playing a big role in all facets of admissions and records. Amber is the type of employee that is always helping out her coworkers.

If we are in a crunch, which is most of the time, Amber is helping us out of the crunch. And because she is a student herself, her service to our student clients is always with a smile. Her work talents are very strong.

Her computer skills are exceptional, using all of her routine software at power user level. Her background experience from her 4+years as an employee of Disney has also prompted a high level of competence at photo editing, animation and drawing software.

Next spring, she will get her Aggie Ring, which I am sure will be one of her proudest moments.  But I hope we can also choose to honor her with the Employee of the Quarter Award.”
