5 Races in each division were completed in USA’s 8 FJs. Courses were gold cups and windward/leeward, 2 laps. We had light winds and temps in the 70s all day. Races 1-3 were sailed in a 1-4 knot north breeze. B race #2 was canceled after 20 minutes because the wind died. We postponed for an hour and a 5-8 knot east breeze filled in after lunch and 7 more races were completed.
Huge thanks to our faculty advisor Bernard Moseby who was PRO for the day and also grilled enough food to feed a small army, or just 50 sailors on Saturday. Also, thanks to Drew Keenan, Dan Ramsay (Kings Point ’05), Dave Blouin (UNO ’05), Dr. Jim Hunter (mark set), and Amy Kleinschrodt.
