Texas A&M University at Galveston - Safety Office

Hot work includes any activity that involves the use of an open flame or welding activities including arc-welding and oxy-acetylene welding or cutting. Conducting these types of operations on campus requires a permit and specific measures be taken to prevent the possibility of a fire occurring on campus. Please contact the Safety office at (409) 741-4055 for more information and permit applications.
