Fire Extinguisher Training

Fire extinguisher training is offered throughout the year by announcement and by special request for groups of 20 or more individuals. The training is free and takes approximately one hour to complete. During training you will learn about the types of extinguishers, classifications of fires, the fire triangle and will also be taught how to extinguish a live fire through hands-on training. For fire extinguisher training, please contact the Safety office at (409) 740-4055.

Note: It is against University policy to tamper with or discharge a fire extinguisher in any manner not consistent with it's intended use.
