and Sophie have invited coaches, players, celebrities and
friends to join us at the Galveston Country Club to help
raise scholarship funds that will benefit young people from
this area. Each team will be assigned a celebrity to play
with their team. This year’s celebrity field will
consist of current and former NBA players and coaches, as
well as a few from other sports. |
The Golf Tournament –
September
26, 2008, Noon
- Golf with Rudy Tomjanovich and a host of past and present
NBA personalities! The Florida Scramble will be held at the
Galveston Country Club.
- Golf pros will be on the range to help you warm up for the
tournament.
- All teams will include NBA/Rocket personalities or celebrities.
A color photo of your group with Rudy and your player/celebrity
will be presented to each member of your team.
- Post Golf Party - listening to the band, dancing, food,
awards and our auction. You can attend even if you are not
a golfer.
- Enjoy the Poolside Dinner Party and Awards Ceremony highlighted
with an opportunity to meet the visiting celebrities after the
golf action.
The 2008 event is officially hosted by Galveston College. Other universities and colleges participating in
the event include: Houston Baptist University, Houston Community
College, and Texas A&M University at Galveston.
