Midshipmen Life

Life as a midshipmen is not all rank and file as one might expect. The NROTC program is filled with future leaders. As one of those future leaders, the NRTOC Unit at Texas A&M University at Galveston is abundant with opportunities to build leadership, and team skills that can be applied to any aspect of life. Volunteer opportunities are built into the program and most of the midshipmen participate in some capacity. Oneof those opportunities include Save a Ship, which involves community service at nearby Seawolf Park. In addition to volunteering in the community, the unit participates in several intramural activities. The unit also has cookouts and sports days throughout the year. On top of all these activities, the unit places significant importance in the education of the midshipmen. There are ample tutoring opportunities in a variety of courses, available at no cost to the student.
