Texas A&M University at Galveston is the marine sciences branch campus of prestigious Texas A&M University in College Station, the state's first public institution of higher education founded in 1876.

TAMUG is a highly specialized institution involved with both graduate and undergraduate education and research in many areas of the oceanic sciences.

Located on Galveston Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, TAMUG has approximately 1,400 undergraduate students, 75 graduate students and 70 full-time faculty in nine academic departments.

The Research Management Office is located at 1001 Texas Clipper Road in building 3026 suite 300.
