Office of Undergraduate Research-TAMU

Most departments have adopted course designations XXXX-291 and XXXX-491 for students participating in undergraduate research for credit.  Students are strongly encouraged to participate in this framework in order to allow for adequate assessment of students engaged in research across campus, and to keep faculty involved in undergraduate research informed of new programs in development.  Formal participation in these research courses is the easiest avenue for entrance into the Undergraduate Research Scholar Program, which provides students the opportunity to complete an undergraduate research thesis in their home department.
