Dr. R. Bowen Loftin 24th President of Texas A&M University

Dr. R. Bowen Loftin became Texas A&M University’s 24th president shortly before 9 a.m. today (February 12, 2010). He was confirmed unanimously by the nine-member Texas A&M University System Board of Regents.

Prior to taking the role of Interim President ini June of 2009, Dr. Loftin served as the vice president and CEO of Texas A&M University at Galveston. 

On Wednesday, the students, faculty and staff of Texas A&M University at Galveston enjoyed an opportunity to congratulate and thank Dr. Loftin for his service to the Galveston branch campus.
