Galveston County Science and Engineering Festival

Galveston Ball High student Myedestinee Wilson was recognized as the outstanding senior at the Galveston County Science and Engineering Fair and awarded a $2,500 scholarship to Texas A&M University at Galveston. The Fair was held February 11 at the Moody Gardens Convention Center and all Galveston County junior and senior high schools were invited to participate. This annual Science and Engineering Fair is sponsored by the partnership of the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), Texas A&M University at Galveston and Galveston College. Harrison Pham from Friendswood High School was the first alternate and will receive the $2,500 scholarship should Ms. Wilson chose not to attend A&M Galveston.
“Texas A&M University at Galveston has a rigorous science, engineering , business, and transportation curriculum focused on the ocean. These students exhibited extraordinary insight in their science projects,” commented Dr. Donna Lang, Assistant Vice President for Academic Services. “We would be honored to have them as students at our campus.”
