of the Year is Awarded to Leonard Epps
Mr. Leonard Epps, network support specialist,
was selected by his peers as Employee of the Year at a
recent TAMUG employee symposium held at the Moody Gardens
convention center.
As a valuable member of the Computing and
Information Services (CIS) department, Mr. Epps is
hardworking, conscientious, friendly, and an expert with PC
hardware and software. His friendly “can do” attitude and
technical competence makes him a favorite with faculty,
students, and staff.
Epps is committed to professional and
personal growth. Steve Conway, director of CIS noted, “He
works hard to keep up with all the changes to PC technology
to maintain his expertise.” He not only works hard to
maintain his expertise, but he also takes the role of mentor
with student workers, sharing the expertise he is gleaning.
Epps is so appreciated and respected on the
campus, when his name was called as employee of the year at
the employee symposium; everyone jumped to their feet and
continued with thunderous applause for several minutes.
