TAMUG Celebrates Howdy Week
|
 Panchang Receives National Publication Award Dr. Vijay Panchang, an engineering professor and department head at Texas A&M University at Galveston (TAMUG), was awarded the 2007 Richard R. Torrens Award by the ASCE Board Publications Committee. He was chosen for the Torrens Award for his superior leadership as an editor of the Journal of Waterway, Port, Coastal, and Ocean Engineering, which is published by the American Society of Civil Engineers. Panchang serves as the head of both the Maritime Systems Engineering and Marine Engineering Technology departments at TAMUG.
