GALVESTON, TEXAS – Texas A&M University at Galveston Cadet Lane Frisbie was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy on Friday, December 14, 2007, at a ceremony on the Mitchell Campus of Texas A&M University at Galveston. About Ensign Lane Frisbie
Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Cadet Lane Frisbie enrolled at Texas A&M University at Galveston after graduating from A. M. Barbe High School in Lake Charles. He will graduate with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation and a minor in Maritime Administration at the Fall 2007 Commencement Exercises on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the 1894 Grand Opera House in Galveston. Additionally, he will receive his USCG Third Mates License of any gross tonnage. While attending Texas A&M University at Galveston, Cadet Frisbie served as the Physical Training Officer, Alpha Company Executive Officer, and the Radar Simulator Technician. He has also served his peers by offering countless hours tutoring in various studies. Upon receiving his commission, Ensign Frisbie will serve in the United States Naval Reserve as a Merchant Marine Reservist.
