COASTAL MARINE BIOLOGY AND GEOLOGY OF ALASKA MARB/MARS 489 and MARB/MARS 689
Students will travel to South-Central Alaska for two weeks for this three credit hour field-based course. For nine days, students will work at the remote Alice Cove Research Station located on a fjord in Prince William Sound. The students will conduct research on sea otter behavior (Biology) and habitat characterization (Marine Geology) and utilization. Opportunities exist for learning about other wildlife. In addition, five days will be spent exploring the Copper River.
