Bill Hearn Retires from TAMUG...Again Timely Warning-Crime Alert Galveston Island TAMUG Welcomes Prospective Students TAMUG Offers Summer Course in Alaska |
At the conclusion of a month-long focus on multiculturalism, the quad at TAMUG was transformed into a cultural explosion of food, live entertainment and knowledge. The Multicultural Festival was hosted by the TAMUG Student Government Association Diversity Council. Several other campus organizations participated in the event, choosing specific countries to represent. Members of those organizations shared information about each country's customs, history and most importantly, cuisine. Music was provided by Irie Time, a reggae band from Houston. They played a mix of their own songs and well-known pop hits. The Houston Greek Festival Dancers, including TAMUG senior Chris Katerinakis, performed tradition Greek dances for the latter portion of the festival. TAMUG students interested in getting involved with the Student Government Association should visit their SGA site at www.tamug.edu/senate.
