TAMUG Breaks Ground on Science Complex |
Galveston, Texas – Texas A&M University at Galveston hosted the 2008 Spring Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston. Over 140 students received their diplomas during the ceremony. Students received degrees as follows: Marine Resources Management - Rhonda D. Cummins, Jessica Marie Harrell, and Kristin Diane Shivers. The Commencement address was delivered by William H. Flores, president and CEO of Phoenix Exploration Company and director and immediate past president of the Association of Former Students of Texas A&M University. CAPT Leslie J. Blackburn III, Commandant, of the Texas Maritime Academy, CAPT William J. Diehl Captain of the Port, U.S. Coast Guard, presented licenses. Lieutenant Commander David Daigle of the United States Navy commissioned Ensigns Danielle Lawson, Shawn Ouellette and Carl Brynestad. Dr. R. Bowen Loftin, Vice President and CEO of Texas A&M University at Galveston conferred the degrees.
