FeatherFest brings Raptor Show to Campus

FeatherFest is a four day festival highlighting the birds and natural heritage of, the Upper Texas Coastal area, during the peak of the birding migration season (which occurs in late April, early May).

This year, Jonathan Wood, a Master Falconer and Wildlife Rehabilitation expert, brings  his Raptor Project to the festival and Texas A&M University at Galveston.

His show demonstrates the majesty of winged predators and features 15-20 live raptors from diverse habitats at each wildlife education presentation.

Approximately seventy students, staff members and faculty members gathered on Wednesday noon to watch the show.
