B.U.I.L.D Luncheon Honors Graduates

Building Unity In Leadership Development (BUILD) honored 10 freshmen for completion of the the Freshmen Development Program.  Pictured above from left to right are Thomas Palmer, Chris Bruns, Holly Hernandez, Laura Ruiz, Candis Jones, Kelli Forde, Deanna Hertzler, and Jared Jones.

Dr. Rodney McClendon, Executive Associate Vice President and Chief Operating Officer told the graduates that leadership is a privilege.

The BUILD student leaders echoed that sentiment.  Laura White, 2006 BUILD Director, recalled that she was initially hesitant about taking on the director's role.  Her main concern was failure.  She learned from her experiences as leader by helping to develop leadership in others.  "Never be so scared of failure that you don't try something out," she said.

Graduates AJ Ouellette and Ayla Casey are not pictured above.
