Victoria Jones serves as a
Lecturer and the Program Coordinator in the Department of Maritime Systems
Engineering. She joined TAMUG in September 1993. She
advises the student chapters of the Marine Technology
Society (MTS) and
the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). She is also
the Department liaison to the Association of Former
MASE Students (AOFMS). She is a graduate of this
department (1991) and holds a Master's degree in
Coastal and Oceanographic Engineering from the
University of Florida (1994).
Her research interests include
coastal processes, wave/sediment interaction, and
sediment/profile relationships. She also consults as
a senior coastal engineer for local engineering
firms and city and county agencies in the areas of
beach surveying, sediment transport, and beach
nourishment.
As Program Coordinator, Ms. Jones
oversees curriculum changes, student degree audits,
student advising, class schedules, etc.
