Dr. Jin joined TAMUG in January 2003 after spending 5 years at the University of Central Florida where he got his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering.  There he conducted research in seismic performance and design

of steel moment frame buildings. He also served as a Research Assistant at the University of Hong Kong

and Structural Engineer in an engineering company in Tianjin, China. His research experience includes

design, analysis, field testing and model testing of offshore platforms and high-rise buildings.
