Vincent Treglia
Mr. Vincent Treglia is a Marine Engineer. He joined A&M for the fall 2001 semester. He is currently teaching Electric Engineering for non-EE’s, Diesel Engines, and Marine Auxiliary Systems. He graduated from Fort Schuyler, SUNY Maritime College, in 1966. Vinny worked as licensed engineer aboard tankers, containerships and freighters before joining General Electric. At GE he directed the installation and repair of turbines, gear sets and generators. He left GE, to work for various ship repair contractors. Since 1982 he has had his own consultancy. Clients have included: contractors, ship owners, and insurance underwriters.
Mr. Treglia holds a valid US Coast Guard license and he is a registered PE and is a Chartered Engineer recognized by the Engineering Council of the UK. He has taken selected courses towards a masters at the Polytechnic Institute of New York and various ASME continuing education courses.
